New Accounting Platform Provides More Efficient Way to Manage Investments

Wespath Benefits and Investments (Wespath), together with its subsidiaries, including Wespath Institutional Investments (WII), has announced that it has joined with Stellar Technology Solutions, LLC (Stellar) to offer its institutional investors a subaccounting solution that delivers a more efficient and personalized investment accounting and record-keeping experience.

The Stellar iPhiTM Subaccounting Platform, offered through a secure, online portal, was designed to support the subaccount administration needs and nuances of faith-based, not-for-profit organizations. The Platform:

  • Provides investors real-time direct access to their accounts, as well as each of their client and donor accounts (subaccounts)
  • Updates subaccounts daily with performance and asset value information, allowing for better planned giving and portfolio control
  • Streamlines subaccount transactions, including contributions, withdrawals and distributions
  • Generates custom account statements
  • Eliminates many of the manual processes typically required to service subaccounts

Wespath and WII investors can also choose to provide their clients and donors with direct online account access.

“At Stellar we are passionate about innovating solutions that empower our clients. Our Platform specifically addresses many of the accounting, giving, investment and distribution inefficiencies and other challenges faced by United Methodist-related organizations, many of which have their own investors and donors with unique accounting needs,” said John Coogan, President of Stellar.

“We are excited to offer a subaccounting solution that will provide our clients, and their clients, with a richer, more tailored approach to account administration,” said Joe Halwax, Wespath’s Managing Director, Institutional Investment Services. “We believe this solution will help support them in their missions and ministries, by creating efficiencies and improving the overall investor and donor experience.”
